Upcoming things to do with kids in Queens...
I know there are lots of things to do in Nassau and Suffolk counties with kids this summer but I live in Queens so I've been researching fun things to do with kids and here are some upcoming events I've found...
Puppets in the Parks presents Bessie's Big Shot Friday, July 6 10:30am at Fort Totten Park, Bayside
Mommy, Music & Me, Inc. Music Together Wednesday, Jully 11th at 10:30 a.m. Location: Buz O' Rourke Playground (in Crocheron Park)
A Morning of Music with Darlene Graham Thursday, July 12, 2012 10:30 a.m. Alley Pond Park, Union Tpk, bet. Springfield Blvd, Douglaston
Wednesday, July 18, 2012 Storytelling 10:30 a.m.–11:30 a.m. Location: Buz O' Rourke Playground (in Crocheron Park)
Wednesday, July 25, 2012 Hip Pickles 10:30 a.m.–11:30 a.m. Location: Buz O' Rourke Playground (in Crocheron Park)
Wednesday, August 8, 2012 Magic and Comedy of Jim McClenahan 10:30 a.m.–11:30 a.m. Location: Buz O' Rourke Playground (in Crocheron Park)
I also just went the the best toddler time at the Bayside Library yesterday (Monday) from 10:30-11:30. They did songs and took out all these toys for the kids to play with!
I think Alley Pond Environmental Center has a lot of free things to do with kids this summer too!
Hope this is helpful!

Cool, thanks!

Thanks! I have a dumb question. What age is appropriate to take your kids to these things? My are 7 months old so I'm not sure if that's too young.
I think the music shows are fine for any age. I've been to one of those puppet shows at Ft. Totten and I would say that's better for ages 2+. It's difficult to see anything unless you're close to the stage and even then, I would say little ones wouldn't have the attention span for it.
