Update - I got the job!!
I applied for an Adjunct position and since I have no teaching experience they want me to go in tomorrow to do a 15 minute teaching demo on any Excel 2007 topic. Is it ok if I use a shortened version of the training presentation Microsoft has on their website? The demo is to show them how I will interact with the "students' and be able to teach them. TIA

Re: Can I Use Microsofts Training Presentation for My Teaching Demo
I wouldn't. I really think you should come up with a lesson on your own.

ITA! they want to see not only how you will interact with students, but what you KNOW about the topic/content.

Re: Update - I got the job!!
Thanks ladies for your advice!!
I just received a call today and I got the job. I am a little nervous and excited. Since i been laid off for over a year, i been doing some soul searching and would like to eventually switch over to academia. So my plan for the meantime is to work full time (hopefully I find a job) and do this part time. I am also taking the Math Praxis test in Jan to get certifed to tach math k-12.
I m so friggin excited, thanks again Kara and donegal419.
