UPDATE #2 9/12: Amnio Done
Baby is adorable, very active and didn't want to do what the tech wanted the baby to do (I can tell this kid is alot like me!). The tech was also able to confirm the sex which was told to us at my 12 week ultrascreen (sorry, can't give that up yet until we tell the families, which will be a couple of weeks yet).
Anyway, as I posted a couple of weeks ago, my AFP/Quad Triple Screen, came back with an elevated risk for Downs so my Dr. suggested moving the Level II up from 20 weeks to 18 weeks. The sono showed 3 soft markers for Downs (the genetic counselor, Dr. at the sono place as well as my OB, all said they are VERY soft markers). However, with that said, along with those markers and my bloodwork, etc... my risk became even more elevated. I've been totally beside myself all day, and right now just completely drained emotionally. We are going tomorrow afternoon for an Amnio and I have to make an appointment for a Fetal Echocardiogram between weeks 20-22.
After all we went through to get pregnant in the first place, all I wanted and hoped for was an uneventful pregnancy. Now I'm wracked with worry, and questioning why this is happening to us. I know that all of these markers and bloodtests can come back in my Amnio showing a perfectly healthy baby, but right now I'm preparing myself for the worst.
Anyway, I can just use some hugs and prayers for tomorrow.
Update:
First, I just want to say thank you again for all your hugs, prayers and support.
Amnio is over and done with now. I'm feeling okay, my stress level has greatly reduced since I had myself so worked up over this test. I won't lie, it hurt! My DH was wonderful trying to keep me as calm as possible. It took a while for the Dr. to be able to do the Amnio (which just increased my anxiety!), because everytime he found a spot away from the baby, the baby would then move into that spot. Finally the baby decided to cooperate and let the Dr. do what he had to do. It was quick from there. We requested the FISH results so we don't have to wait the 10-14 days for the results, so I should have the results by Monday. I'm happy this part is over, but now it's just the waiting.
Update #2 - FISH results came back NORMAL!!! We are so relieved and thankful for everyone's prayers! Thank you everyone!!!

I'm sorry this is the news you got today. Focus on the positive, they all said they were very soft markers. Lots of prayers that your amnio comes back all clear.

That's such a tough one to deal with.
Which soft markers were they?
If you want any advice or have any questions please feel free to FM me. My eldest daughter has Mosaic Down Syndrome. Im pretty well versed in Down Syndrome, the testing, etc...As well as very non judgemental when it comes to families making decisions which are right for them.
