*Update* If you had to change your flight time,
Did you have to pay a fee just for the change itself, in addition to the fare difference?
we need to move out flight up a day, and honestly, i've never had to pay this before (i understand and have no problem with paying the fare difference, but and additional $100 per person just to change the date seems ridiculous to me).
any experiences with this?
UPDATE:
I just bit the bullet and paid it.
we were originally scheduled to fly down to FL the same day as our cruise, but didnt want to take the chance with January weather (and possible snow), so I'd rather pay the additional $200 to fly down the day before than take a chance and miss our cruise. It burns, but what are ya gonna do
Thank you for the responses!!!

Re: If you had to change your flight time,
What airline is it? I think they all charge different prices to change a flight.
I think JetBlue charged me $25 once to change a flight (I don't think there was a fare difference though).
Sorry I can't be of more help!

Re: If you had to change your flight time,
It depends on the airline. Some charge to make changes, others don't.
Once I had to change a flight on Southwest and didn't have to pay - in fact, they refunded some money to my credit card because the new flight cost less than the old one had!

Its American Airlines.
I would pay the $25, but i just feel like $100 EACH for doing nothing but changing the flight time is ridiculous.
The flight we want to take now is $40 more per person, and i have no prob paying that, but the $100 on top of that, each, is just crazy to me.

Re: If you had to change your flight time,
I've had to pay on Jetblue before. $100 seems really high though.

Re: *Update* If you had to change your flight time,
I have had to pay $50 once. I didn't have to pay for a change in fare because there wasn't a change and it was a student ticket.

Re: *Update* If you had to change your flight time,
All airlines charge a flight change fee. Fee's can range anywhere from $25 - $150 per ticket. Plus the cost of the fare difference.
Their are very rare occassions a waiver is done.
