UPDATE: I'll be staying in a house with 2 kids for the next month...
i've already been here a week but the kids were away at camp...please shoot me now. i just relocated OOS & I'm staying with DH's sis & her family while DH is still in NY finalizing things & applying for jobs down here (i really didn't want to but it's helping us save $). It's great that they are letting me stay in the basement which has a bedroom, little living area & bathroom...they were like "Oh you will have your own space..blah blah".
Well yesterday SIL texts me that my nephew & his friend will want to play Xbox and it's hooked up to the TV in my "livingroom" is that OK since they haven't seen each other in a month? So I write back..they have til 7:30pm since I have to be at work at 6am. (Let me also add SIL texted me at 4:30am the other morning I had work and woke me up...but she's a whole other story!)
So the "real" livingroom of the house is right above me...i swear these kids sound like a heard of elephants stomping around the house.
Oh and the best part is the kids broke the remote to the TV down here so you have to hold the cover onto the end to use it...and then type in a freaking parental code to watch ANYTHING....
We can't get an apartment because I will be leaving for 3 months for other training so it'd make no sense to get a place if I'm OOS & DH is still in NY otherwise I would!!! Pray for me please...hahahah  I miss my DH, pups, couch & pups!!

UPDATE: Surviving...haha
The XBox left my TV room down here since my 14yr old nephew realized I'd be down here going to bed by 8pm (I have to be at work at 6am)...that has been a HUGE improvement...no kids down in my space...and if they do need to come down here they knock on the door & ask if they can come down for a minute (usually to look for a game). Still sounds like construction above me since the 8 yr old jumps & runs around in the house like it's a playground.
But..now I have been asked to babysit & if I can get the kids from school now & then and to take my nephew to baseball games. Don't mind now & then but I really feel like saying "I don't have kids for exactly these reasons!!!"
Plus my training at work is alot of physical stuff (i'm in law enforcement) so I am wiped out by the time I get home & the last thing I want to do is watch an 8yr old that can't sit still & lies about having homework to do (that's a whole other story...the 8yr old does not listen and is never punished for it...drives me (& Dh when he is here) bonkers...the 14 yr old is fine but he doesn't need watching. I offered to pay rent but they said "no..if you can help out picking up that would be great"...no...I'd rather pay money and be able to do what I want...only a few more weeks...I leave Oct 14 for training OOS  I just really miss my DH & dogs...  But as Dh says...it's only temporary(I laugh because he gets aggravated with his own sister when we would just visit...told him he should have to live with my parents to make our situations fair..haha..my Dad can drive him nuts). Thanks for listening! 
PS The good thing is I am loving my job!

On the upside, it is only temporary and you get to leave the kids behind.
SIL is stuck with them.
