I am sorry this may be a sensitive subject to many. However, I may be going through this and need advice. I go tomorrow for one more check to see if my baby grew since Friday's appointment. If not, then obviously my pregnancy isn't viable


For those who've gone through this, what happens next? I was told since I am early on I'll probably miscarry on my own, how so? Will they just stop my hormones and give me medicine that will make me miscarry? How long does "it" take? How bad will it get? I pray I don't have to have a D & C. My RE says I shouldn't have to this early on UNLESS I choose too:) I am going on vacation on Saturday, how will this affect me? Its just to my MIL's in Myrtle Beach but still...I am a WRECK!

Advice, experience?

Thank you all for your good thoughts and prayers. Unfortunately, my pregnancy isn't viable They told me to stop all hormones and I could either wait to miscarry on my own or take medicine. I chose to take medicine since I am going away on Saturday and pray this all subsides by then:) Do you ladies think it will? I just took the medicine and now sit and wait for a long day for the inevitible to happen. This stinks!

i your sono tomorrow willl show a healthy little baby.

i had a d&c and a mc with meds.

the first mc was a d&c. I was a little over 9 weeks and knew for about a week that the pregnancy wasnt viable. I wasnt miscarrying on my own and it was just too much to wait more. i was offerend wait it out or do a d&c. I opted for a d&c. It was emotional going to the hospital and afterwards. No pain but too emotional. I bled for about 2 weeks - spotting on and off

My second mc i was about 71/2 weeks. The RE said it wasnt viable bc we knew exactly when the IUI was done. The heartbeat stopped and nothing progressed any further. I was given the option of waiting it out or taking cytotec (meds) to miscarry. I opted for the meds. I had to let them dissolve in my mouth and i started to miscarry exactly 4 hrs after i took them. The first day was heavy bleeding (tmi) and clots. after that it was like a period for a week.

Perhaps bc it was my second mc and bc i prepared myself for it the medication induced mc was much much easier to deal with.

well I have miscarried several times on my own. I was about 5-6 weeks when it happened. For me it really wasnt that bad. Emotionally i was upset but the pain was no worse than a period and a little clotting.im so sorry for you. Im praying for a miracle for you!!

Im so sorry. I have been on a rollercoaster for the last few weeks with my pregnancy and finally at 10 weeks, I just lost the baby. I was given the option to wait until I miscarried on my own, to have medication and then miscarry on my own or have a D & C. I scheduled a D & C for this coming Tuesday but today (Sunday) I started bleeding and cramping on my own. I go to the OB tomorrow to see what we are going to do. For most of today my cramps were like period cramps. I did have some REALLY bad cramps tonight and took a left over vicadon that I had from oral surgery. Thank god for that vicadon (but just so you know I have no pain tolerance so it might not be really painful to you). I can't give much more advice right now because I just started miscarrying today and I'm not sure if I will still have the D & C on Tuesday. I'm really sorry for your loss.

i miscarried at 5w2d on my own. i knew it was going to happen cause my betas didnt double like they were supposed to. i actually knew i was going to m/c before i even made it to 5w. it was a borderline chemical PG but my betas were significantly higher than my previous chemical.

i bled heavier and longer than normal, but that was the only major difference from that and AF for me, other than the emotional part . otherwise i didnt really have much cramping and although there was some clotting it wasn't an unreasonable amount.

I'm sorry you are going through this.

last summer I got pregnant on my own. Nice surprise right? Well it turned bad and I m/c at 8 weeks. There was only a gestational sac and nothing else developed.

I was already seeing a high risk OB and he said that I would miscarry on my own.

I did about a week later.

Just heartbreaking.

I hope yours turns out not to be the case. Many prayers that this turns around for you.

I'm soooo sorry for your loss. The same thing just happened to me. I ended up miscarrying on my own yesterday. I went to see my OB today and she confirmed that everything came out so we cancelled my D & C scheduled for Tuesday. With my experience, I stopped the Progesterone on Thursday and I started cramping and bleeding on my own yesterday. The cramps were managed throughout the day with advil and some over the counter codeine pills that I have from Canada. Last night all of a sudden I had TERRIBLE cramps that I ended up taking a vicadon for (had that left over from oral surgery this spring). About an hour later I went to the bathroom and I lost a big clot/tissue. Today when I went to the OB she asked if the bad pain was a little bit before the big clot (and didn't make any connection btwn the two last night) and I confirmed it was. She said that is how it normally happens. You will get really bad cramps a little bit before you pass the majority of it. I didn't have cramps over night and hardly any bleeding over night and today, although the OB said that I will have bleeding for about a week. She said I will ovulate in about 2 weeks and then have my period 2 weeks after that. She confirmed what the RE said, which was one complete cycle to make sure my system is all cleaned out and then second cycle I can start again. So hopefully in October I can start back on the IUI road. My experince with the miscarriage was not so bad except for that 20 minutes last night of terrible cramps. Again, I am so sorry for your loss- it really does suck! I wish you a speedy recovery of both body and soul!
