UPDATE: Looks like, not only do we have my PCOS against us....
But DH's SA came back... everything was great, except the morphology. His count was 6 times the amount they consider normal (great, I know!), but the morphology was horrible...not one normal sperm He has to do another one later in the week, so they can compare the two. I'm sitting at my desk, trying so hard not to lose it.
Update 10/31: 2nd SA..went from 0% to 1% still not good. Although we were told that due to the volume and motility (185mil, and 79%) that IUI can very well still work, and we will continue as planned this cycle. The Dr. wants to meet with us again to discuss a new course of action (IUI again if this one doesn't work, or straight to IVF)

is this the first SA you have had? You can try fertility blend and there are some vitamins that can improve sperm quality..

No, he had one done in February and we were just told everything looked good. And the funny thing is, I've had two IUI's in the recent months and we were told the sample was fine. (these were done in my gyn's office, not with the RE).

Each batch is different. Wait until the second test to see what the morphology is.
Dh also had bad morphology (like 2% normal), but we did wind up pg.
DH also used fertility blend and vitamins to help with the count and morphology.
Also, is your Dh on any medications? That was another factor with Dh and his results.

Re: Looks like, not only do we have my PCOS against us....
Thanks everyone! After DH and I initially freaked out, he called back our nurse and we had a three way call with her. She helped ease our minds, and we both feel better. She went on to say that if his intial SA hadn't been normal (and she explained that a regular lab uses a different method of analyzing than they do), then she would be more concerned. But that she's seen this very often that one day the husband will have 0 % morphology, and then the 2nd test will be normal, which is why they want him to do another one later this week. I go in for CD3 testing on Wednesday, and the doctor said we can go ahead with the IUI w/trigger this cycle.

DH takes this every night, and has been long before we even got married.

I hope you have a better SA at the end of the week. I don't believe they check morphology before an IUI, just count and motility. The morphology measure is more involved. I hope this is just a fluke!

Re: Looks like, not only do we have my PCOS against us....
Just like other posters have said, each time could be different. DH has really poor morphology as well (first say was 5%, second was 1%) but I got pregnant twice with IUIs and once with IVF with ICSI (unfortunately they ended in miscarriage).
Don't lose hope!!!

Re: Looks like, not only do we have my PCOS against us....
My DH has really bad morphology also. I heard pycnogenol is good for morphology. DH took this and his morphology went up. It's an antioxidant....I believe alot of low morphology has to do with the environment.

Michelle,
My issues were exactly the same. PCOS and Morphology issues with DH.
RMA is great at handling them both.
