UPDATE ::My obgyn told me yesterday that she won't go to NS Manhasset and that if I wanted to see her I would have to go to NS Forest Hills (Queens) WWYD??
So I have not had very good luck with obs. Yesterday I met my new one who told me that she wouldn't go to Manhasset when I deliver and that I would need to go to North Shore Forest Hills. I live in Long Island. :(
How would you handle this? Would you just go to North Shore Manhassset once labor set in? I have HIP prime insurance.
****UPDATE*********** I stayed on the phone all day today even though I have truly lost my poor voice. I am going to try Dr. Burns in Garden City. I hope this is a go. Thanks for your suggestions and help as always ladies. xooxooxoxo

I would find a new dr. Does anyone in the practice go to Manhasset? The last thing you want is to be stuck on the LIE when you are in labor!

I'd find a new Dr. I go to Northern OBGYN in Manhasset Hills/New Hyde Park. They deliver at NS Manhasset. FM if you'd like more info.
ETA: I wanted to make a switch when I was pregnant and was afraid to. I thought I wouldn't get the continuity of care I needed. That was a huge mistake and now I wish I had done it. Hindsight being 20/20 my advice to anyone would be whether you are 4 weeks, 20 weeks or 39 weeks if there is something that you are not happy about then speak up or switch Dr.s.

Try Ob/Gyn of Rockville Centre. They have a team of doctors and they deliver at Mercy Medical Center and Winthrop.
I love them... GREAT PLACE

I would find a Dr that delivers where you want to deliver.
I would ask her/him ahead where they deliver so you don't waste your time in your search.

I would only travel that far for a doctor that I already had a long term relationship with who had my trust explicity. It seems some pp's have listed some practices that are affiliated with NS Manhasset, I would try them out.

When I was pregnant my OBGYN would only deliver at NS Forest Hills. I live in Qns and I still changed Drs.

I love my dr and he only delivered at NS Forest Hills so I had my DS there. All I can say is that I would rather have my next child in a backseat of my car than to ever deliver there again ( okay maybe I am exaggerating a little). I had a horrible experience. I don't mean to scare anyone who is delevering there.

i have HIP prime too (LOVE IT!!! didn't pay a single dime my entire pregnancy and delivery!) and chose a doctor who delivered where i wanted (south nassau).
i would find a doctor who will go to the hospital you want.

I would absolutely find another dr. There are a million that deliver at NSUH Manhasset. Regardless of travel time, I personally would not deliver at NSUH Forest Hills (JMO).
Great Neck OBGYN (Rifkin, Sadaty and Kaufman) and the other dr's (Klein, Nimaroff) both are down the block from NSUH Manhasset, are all phenomenal dr's and are always taking new patients.

I'd change doctors. I had to go to L&D 3 times before I had my baby. I wouldn't have had to travel any further than necessary.
Being closer to the hospital also makes it easier on your DH to come and go while you are there. I had a c-section and was there 4 days and DH was there until about 10pm each night. He was tired too and I wouldn't have wanted him to drive further than necessary.
