Update on my endoscopy
Sorry guys...I can't edit my old posts on my iPad and our laptop is broke.
Just got back from my endoscopy and they found NOTHING!!!! No ulcer, no inflammation, a big fat nothing.
I am so upset and angry because I feel like no one is listening to me. I told the dr something is wrong. People don't get pain like that because they take 2 motrin a couple times a week I told him it HAS to be my gallbladder or something else. Yesterday when I saw him he prescribed me dexilant And carafate and my stomach felt better which means it helped something. I have an appt in 2 weeks from him and will ask again for a HIDA scan.
I should be sleeping now because I feel super hung over but am so annoyed I can't even relax.

Re: Update on my endoscopy
Just to let you know I had something similar last year...
I was constantly bloated, and if I ate something it felt like my stomach was going to pop! I had chest and back pain, and felt like something was stuck in my throat/chest...it was awful
I also went for an endoscopy and they found nothing...
It did eventually go away after a few weeks or so, and it does come back every once in a while- but not for as long as the first time
I still have NO IDEA what it is, so if you find out- let me know!
I hope you feel better

Re: Update on my endoscopy
I didn't see your previous posts, but do you get pain where it feels like your having a heart attack? Not like heartburn...literally like a heart attack?
I get that sooooooooo bad. Actually went to a cardiologist thinking I had some heart problem.
Nothing.
Everyone is telling me to go for an edoscopy because they think it's a hiatal hernia.
Did the doctor mention anything about that?
Feel better!!!!!!

Re: Update on my endoscopy
It might not be a bad idea to see another dr. I was having all sorts of stomach problems last year, had an endoscopy, and similarly nothing showed up. We tried a bunch of things that didn't work so I went to 2 other dr's and finally the 3rd one was able to help me and I'm 100% fine now.
I think it can't hurt to see what someone else has to say.

Re: Update on my endoscopy
Most of the time, unless someone has reflux for many years and have damage from it, nothing can be seen on endoscopy. This does not mean that you don't have reflux or gastritis.
There is a term they used called NERD, nonerosive reflux disease.
You can always go back to the doctor and tell him/her that you are continuing to have symptoms and see if you can start some sort of PPI like Nexium, Protonix.
You can also get Prilosec over the counter and use that if you choose.
