Update on my "thoughtful" gift
DH found someone interested in buying the tickets - I feel awful, but he felt worse about it - I told him I wanted to go, but all of that would be too much for me... he understood... Poor DH 
He said we will do something else together with the money he gets back - maybe go into the city in the afternoon...
