UPDATE on p 1 bottom of orig post DRAMA at Picture People VENT!!!
So we went for our first birthday pictures at PP last Sunday. We were there for a 5pm appointment with our twins all dressed and ready to go.
The shoot went well...the photographer was great with the kids.
We waited and waited -- the mall closes at 7 and by 6:45, we started to question the delay. Our kids missed their nap and now dinner at this point. I was told our pictures were MISSING and that they were LOOKING for them.
Like I said, the mall closed at 7, we were there until 8:45 waiting for them to "locate" the card with our shots. They never found them! They were NEVER SAVED or DELETED!
Now anyone with kids knows how much work it is to get pictures taken...dressing the baby and keeping them CLEAN until the shoot, dressing yourself, keeping everyone happy at the shoot...and after. I have One Year Old Twins...they were very patient, considering we waited 4 HOURS in that HOT place waiting for NOTHING!
Carlos, the manager told us we would have to come back and redo the shoot! (We had a GC otherwise I would never have gone back) He was speechless and really had nothing of value to say to us that night.
Day 2:
Another 40 mile drive back to the mall
Another episode of dressing EVERYONE
Another SAUNA of a Studio
Freakin Groundhog Day~
My husband missed a 1/2 day of work for this BS and we were there for another 4 hours!!!
I was getting to the boiling point! I asked what they were going to do for us and was told they would take a % off of our purchase. I agreed because there was no more negotiating with him at this point, but I feel that we should have gotten the whole damn shoot for FREE at that point!
Just needed to VENT! Thanks for listening!
UPDATE 10/22 -- three weeks and still havent heard from them. This is so unprofessional!! I am FLIPPING Mad at this point!

I HATE THAT PLACE!!!! we only do our pics at BRU in college pt... the gilrs know my boys and constantly give me freebies when i go in... they even put my boys in there display book

omg that is awful. i am so sorry.
we went to pp once too bc we have a gc. ds was afraid of the photographer and after 10 minutes and no pics they asked us to leave and come back another time. I'm still stuck with this gift card and i dont want to go back there.
hope you got some good shots this time.

I have had some serious issues with them too. I had pictures taken there on September 26. I'm still waiting to get the e-mail so I can share them online. I have called the store, customer service - keep getting the run around. I finally went there today and supposedly they will be online tonight or tomorrow morning or I should call them AGAIN.  I am so done with them.

I would be furious! I was mad when Auntie Annies did not accept my free pretzel coupon from JC Penneys when I went. I could not imagine 2 days and 2 babies and no pics.

I wrote to corporate for a second time tonight, since it's been over a week and I have not heard back from them.
I sent corporate this link in hopes that they will see how others feel about their establishment. I also told them that if they did the right thing by us, I'd post here to let others know that they came through. I will keep all of you posted.

I have heard too many awful things about them that is why I ended up canceling my appointment.
The pictures to come out absolutely adorable though
They should have given you free portraits for a year with all that BS.

Truthfully, we were worried when the one in the Smithaven Mall shut down. We were afraid that we'd lose out if we didn't hurry to Roosevelt Mall before they too closed.

To say I am disgusted at the mistreatment of one of our valued board members is an understatement. To have the studio screw up to this magnitude is absurd. For you not to give her the courtesy of a response is completely unacceptable:

I would think a company, completely geared toward family pictures, would value a mother's time, a father's need to work & the extraordinary effort it takes to take 2 one year olds to/from a location.

I did my 6 months shot at them too and it was not a good experience. For something i expected to take an hour, I was at the mall over 4 hours. It was ridiculous.
Then afterwards I could not get them to come up on my account on-line. That took another 1/2 hour on the phone with corporate and the store manager.
I went to BRU for their year shots and we had a wonderful experience there. NEver again will I go back to PP

Thanks Barb and anyone else who takes the time to do this!
We wound up spending $600 before the discount because we had to get photos for us, grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc. We feel that for 4 people to spend nearly 8 hours at a photo shoot we should have been paid that, if not more and we also drove 40 miles each way twice and missed a 1/2 day of work!!!

sorry that happened to you!! i would definitely expect them to compensate you more than they did.
we went recently and my experience was ok. i did wait and it was extremely hot, but i got some great shots.
can't wait to hear what corporate says.

I had something similarly annoying happen to me at Kiddie Kandids once and I haven't gone back since!
They should've done more for you. Anyone can get a percent off with the coupons they send out!
