UPDATE- Please read if you take clomid...
UPDATE IS AT BOTTOM OF PAGE
Just heard from my dr. He said I'm not responding to 100mg a day either. Now he's calling in a prescription for Provera for 10 days and then I have to call him on the 1st day of my period again... I couldn't even say anything to anyone (I'm at my parents house today and my grandma and dad are here). I just went home and cried for like 1/2 hour and now I'm back---luckily there were no questions asked. I woke DH up to cry to him- he was still sleeping b/c he doesn't have work until late today. He gave me the very matter of fact--- "well you know what you have to do so just do it" and I did all that I could not to smack him! Sometimes men can be so insensitive--- I know it's the truth but can I be sad a little first? Anyway, my dr said if I don't respond I could go to 4 or even 5 pills a day but he didn't recommend that- he thinks I need to move to "stronger medicine" if 150 a day doesn't work. Wish me luck ladies.... to us all.

Re: Clomid isn't working...
I'm sorry . I went through the same thing so I know how disappointing it is. I'm sorry DH was insensitive, my DH has had his moments too and it makes it so much worse...you are also totally hormonal right now so that doesn't help. I was crying in the Dr.'s office after he told me and that was totally embarrassing.
Try the 150 - it may be the right dose for you! However, I wouldn't go more than that because I've read everywhere that over 150 is NOT recommended. If 150 doesn't do it then you are probably a good candidate for injectibles but hoping it doesn't come to that point. Good luck and again, I'm sorry!

IM SORRY I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THESE DRUGS, BUT THERE ARE OTHER THINGS YOU CAN TRY IF THE HIGHER CLOMID DOSAGE DOESNT HELP.

Re: Clomid isn't working...
I'm sure the 150mg will work - It just takes a while to find the right dosage...don't get too upset about it.

Re: Clomid isn't working...
Well, I just want you to know that I've been told by several doctors that you shouldn't exceed more than 200mg/day (4 pills) so, I wouldn't go over that. I needed 150mg to respond. Don't worry. You'll be fine, its hard, but you just need to have patience. That's a really hard request for a woman who's TTC, I understand

UPDATE- READ PLEASE IF YOU"RE TAKING CLOMID
Thanks everyone. I still feel crummy today--- and the weather isn't helping things. I just want to stay in bed all day. I went to the dentist yesterday and he said that my gums were the worst he's ever seen him (I've been seeing him for almost 15 years). I told him that I had been put on Clomid 2x this month and he said anything hormone related that is being put into your body can really affect your gums. In my case, it trapped food that I couldn't get to even with flossing and brushing, and caused an infection which I thought was a toothache. He gave me tons of novicane yesterday and my left side never got totally numb on the top- which he said is because my gums are extremely acidic due to the meds.... Thought I'd pass the information on since I know a lot of people are taking Clomid on this site. Anyway, now I'm on day 2 of provera and i get to go thru this garbage all over again... Thanks for being here ladies...

Re: UPDATE- Please read if you take clomid...
I am so sorry things are so difficult for you. I haven't noticed any changes in my gums or teeth, but thank you for the heads up! I will be sure to be extra attentive. I guess it makes sense about the hormones - I know some women get bleeding gums and stuff when pg b/c of the hormones, so why would this be any different?
