Update to My POST from FRiday(oh boy and there's more)---I've Never been SO ANGRY and HURT at the same time it's unbelievable!!! How would u react?

inlaws can be so annoying I am having my own issues right now
I just try and remember the people I love and care about ...love me and care about me and my family(dh nad kids) and all who treat me and family like cr@p can kiss my a$$ and I have decided NOT to be a doormat and be happy go lucky anymore so they all better watch out!!!

Oh and my DD's were perfect angels as i knew they would be! My oldest played with the older girls almost the whole time and my little one slept 1/2 the shower.
Your girls showed them!!! I don't have much advice, just

They should have apologized to you too but at least they apologized to your DH. Did they realize what meatheads they were to treat your DD's like that?

I'm so proud of you guys for going. You know what, unfortionely they will always be like this. I deal with this ALL the time with my DH's family. They are just rude and they don't care about me or my DD. It's sad to say, but you will have to get over this because oviously it is just hurting you and it will continue if you can't let it go. BUT, every time there is a family function I would ask, "Oh, are my children invited to this??" Just so they know it still hurts you. Sorry you have to live with this pain.

You did the right thing sweetie. I'm sorry you didn't get your apology. I know how that goes and it can make you crazy. I'm sorry you have to deal with this. You DO need to get some rest and let it ride for now or it will just be worse for the both of you and you need each other now.

I'm glad you went for the sake of your SIL & for your DH (because after all, it is his family & his heartache to deal with this).
I'm not one that stands on ceremony & feel that apologizing to DH would enough for me. I realize it's not like that for everyone else though.
How do you get past it?
You make a decision to either hold onto a grudge that causes you more anguish & grief than it will them. From their standpoint, they apologized about the situation (granted not to you but to DH). You have an entire lifetime to spend with these people. Don't let it fester.

i'm glad you went. I dont even know what to say except - the heck with them...some people always make drama where none should be. You did the right thing and you set a good example for your girls. Bottom line, they are foolish for behaving that way and you ARE the bigger/better person. Don't let them get you so upset - its not worth it. I'm sorry this happened and that you were uncomfortable

I am glad you went. I think I would be bothered by not getting an apoligy also but they did give one to DH so it is something.
