update w/new questions. Have all the symptoms for O... but no =) ???
This is definitely TMI, but...
EWCM has thinned to being wet & slippery
O -pains on my left side (I get them every month before o)
Cervix high and soft and open
but there's no  on my OPK. I just tested this morning. We're BDing anyway. What the heck is going on?

try testing again this afternoon...............isn't it true that LH typically surges in the afternoon to evening hours? maybe you're just not detecting it because you haven't had the surge yet, or had the surge already and missed it? Go by your bodies signs, and BD today, tomorrow and the next day. that's what I would do.

Keep testing--and keep BD'ing. We can have EWCM for 1-5 day, so you might be really close, but LH hasn't surged just yet. My cervix was high/soft and CM was slippery wet a day or two before I got my pos this month.

UPDATE Still nada. EWCM is done, cervix feels closed. Is it possible for a digital OPK to not pick up an LH surge? Is it possible to gear up for O and then not?

When are you testing with OPKs? And has it been at the same time every day? It's possible you missed your surge and still did in fact O.

I was testing with FMU, but on Sat and Sunday I tested twice - once at about 7am and again at noon. Tested this morning with SMU at about 7:30.
Is it worth trying again when I get home from work today?

Can't hurt, but if your EWCM has dried up and cervix position changed, it's possible you did O. As long as you BD'd when you saw EWCM, then you've got a good chance.

I just wanted to let you know that I've been reading TCOYF and the author says that you may still O if you don't get a smiley on ur OPK...she says those kits arent always 100%, the best way to know if you O is by temping, checking ur cervix and ur CM...hope this helps...sounds like you O'ed

Exactly what I was going to write and I'll add that I am one of those people that the OPK's doesn't pick up. I'm better off just reading the signs my body gives me. And hey it's a whole lot cheaper too!

Do surges happen at a different time of day each month? Last month I got a =) on CD13 using FMU, so I assumed this month would be in the same time frame.
If you're cycle's thrown off b/c of stress, do you not O or just O late? I'm still getting negatives on OPKs (yes, I'm going to stop testing now).
Just bought a basal thermometer. But I'm keeping the receipt b/c I hope to have to return it in two weeks!
