UPDATED 1/9/08 - They arrived today! Levis Perfectly Slimming jean...YAY or NAY?
I just ordered this jean in the dark rinse color w/one of my Macy's GC based on the rave reviews it received. I can return them if they are hideous looking and do not do what they claim (supposed to make you look a size smaller and slim your waist and hips).
Does anyone have this jean? What re your thoughts? YAY or NAY? TIA!

UPDATED 1/9/08: They came today!!!! They are AWESOME! They are NOT mom jeans!  These jeans are super slimming and flattened my tummy! They hit right below my belly button, so they are not high waisted and they look great. Keep in mind I am 5'7, so I think on someone who is shorter it might look high waisted; on someone taller they would look AMAZING IMHO.  Order them, you will love them trust me!

it looks kind of like a 'mom' jean in the waist and hip area...hard to describe though, and who knows what it would look like IRL! let us know if it works and how it looks! i don't understand the slimming waist aspect...you think that would create more muffin top for women with extra baggage?

I was thinking the same thing. Kind of mom-ish in the waist and hip area.

i believe i've read that the higher waist is actually what slims you and you don't get a muffin top with higher waist jeans, its all tucked into the jeans. I tried on a pair of high waisted jeans and found this to be true, but they did feel like i was wearing mom jeans, so i didn't buy them

I thought about this and never tried on jeans like this, so I figured I would try it. I mean, if they make me go down a size and look good why not?
IF they look like or feel like mom jeans on me, trust and believe they WILL be going back! The description says that they are not high waisted, they sit at the waist.

How tall are you?
Im not that short, I was exaggerating, I'm 5'4''. I understand these ones arent mom jeans but apparently the mom jeans are coming back into style

I think the jeans are fine, its just those flats in the pic that kinda make them look 'eh'. I'm glad they look awesome in person.

I saw these on the website and wanted them and then when I went to the store they told me they don't carry levi's..
..I'm glad you like them but I guess now I won't order them after reading your description considering that I'm barely 5 foot.. they would probably come up to just below my boobs.. talk about mom jeans.. that's more like grandma jeans.. ughhh
