**UPDATED BELOW** will i be known as the girl who cried wolf?!? another L&D story
Ah, so in my never ending drama that is this pregnancy, I had another crazy experience today!! OK...so very long story short:
I went to my high-risk today for monitoring. I casually mention that I had some leaking late last night accompanied with some light cramping/lower back pain, but that it was not enough liquid to make me think my water broke, but i felt i should mention it anyway. She gives me a whole lecture about how any leaking is cause for concern and I should have immediately called my dr since im so high-risk for PTL. She hooks me up to the monitor and after about 10 min starts panicking bc the heart rates dont seem right to her. She quickly calls in the dr who is annoyed that i may have broken my water and didnt go to L&D...they tell me that my babies could possibly be in distress now for the past 12 hours bc of my negligence. He does the quickest sono scan and immediately announces that "THIS IS REAL" and that Baby A is in distress. After freaking me out, he freaks out my sister who drove me today and tells us to get to Winthrop immediately, tell them its an emergency and that one baby is in extreme distress!!! Mind you, he is not at all calm, he is basically freaking out which made me start shaking like crazy...my sister had to hold me up bc i almost passed out and couldnt walk. How on earth we made it to the hospital is beyond me!! I was crying bc I thought that my baby wouldnt make it and it was my fault. My sister was so nervous she could barely drive...thankfully we were only like 5 min away. Anyway, once there we rush in and since the Dr had called they were expecting me...they rush me in, have me quickly change and hook up the babies.... well, what do you know? they are FINE!!!!!!!!!!! perfect heartbeats! they do an exam to see if my water broke and it was fine. they do a very extensive sono, everything is fine. my regular OB comes in and is sooo compassionate and trying to calm me down..he was so annoyed that the other dr freaked me out like that.
WTH??? I am so thankful and grateful that my babies are OK, but I am so PIZZED that the dr at the high-risk place was so quick to jump to conclusions! My DH rushed over like a crazy person...he was terrified. My dad rushed over and on the way called all my family and told them the babies were coming. My mom was watching DS and completely freaking out.
The nurses said that they got the tracings from my dr and it did look like they were in distress while I was at the dr office, but they were completely fine once at the hospital. AND then, after about 4 hours, they discharged me and sent me home and told me to be back tomorrow at 8 am to recheck the babies.
SOOOOO - now im wondering, if i really am in labor one day soon, will anyone believe me anymore?!?!?!?! my family thinks this is getting comical!! 2nd false alarm in 2 weeks!
ETA: so much for "long story short"!! sorry this is so long. if you were able to bear with me and read the whole thing, thanks

I'm glad everything is okay!!!!!!!!!!!
I get why the high-risk dr was worried, but he shouldn't have made it so obvious (and therefore, make u hysterical). Hope things go well today. Let us know.

i'm glad things are fine with the babies. i totally understand about the peri. They made me nuts too and this time, I went a bit AMA and stopped going. Things have been fine for me and , not that I'm recommending it to anyone.

That's the way a lot of twin pregnancies are....
Id rather be safe than sorry later on...
I was in and out of the hospital so much with my girls that the nurses at LIJ were sad when I got far enough along to have the babies at Huntington. They got so attached to them in utero..

Re: will i be known as the girl who cried wolf?!? another L&D story
thanks everyone
i went back this morning and had a NST and a BPP. they measured the babies heart rates, contractions and then did a sono to check for fluid levels and the babies activity (breathing, movement, etc). thankfully my little guys scored an 8/8 each (which is the highest score they could get). i am so relieved!!!! these are my miracle babies!! i will be 33 weeks on monday...since 16 weeks i have been such high-risk for PTL and i cant believe we are almost in the "safe" zone and they are still hanging on!
hope everyone has a great weekend!

I'm sorry you had to go through that!!! YOU didn't rush over to the hospital..the DR. SENT YOU!!! Don't worry..that's what they are they for. I'm so glad that everything worked out!!! I would suggest (if there is another pregnancy) to find another high-risk Dr.

Re: **UPDATED BELOW** will i be known as the girl who cried wolf?!? another L&D story
That's the best ending for the story.
Don't worry, your high risk DR was just trying to be extra-cautious and protecting your little ones.
There are tons of false alarms... you've never gone through it before... you can't possibly "know".
