UPDATED on 12/9/2011 photo I took of my son is in today's Newsday Explore LI print edition
Oroginal post from July 2011: Check out the "Your Best Shots" photo essay in today's NEWSDAY Explore LI section to see a wonderful photo I took of my son on the swings in Ocean Beach. I submitted the photo for a contest for next year but Newsday asked to run it immediately!!!! Page B17.
UPDATE: December 2011
The photo I had published in Newsday in July is in the top 100, so I still might be one of the 4 prize winners. My photo is listed at #71 of 101 but that is not a ranking order at this point. YAY!!!!!

Congrats my friend!! That is totally awesome!! I asked MIL to save the paper for me since I cancelled my Newsday subscription (and you have me the heads up that it was going in!)
