UPDATED (with #2)! So confused and frustrated

on 7/15 AF came after 3 1/2 months...I should add this was following a dr. appointment two days eariler where we talked about waiting out the rest of the month and then taking provera.

So, AF stayed until the following Sunday (typical 7 days for me), and although it was here, it was very light (not so typcial for me). I started Clomid on Day 5 and took until Day 9 as per instruction from my dr. So, I decided since I never detect my LH surge with the mulitple OPKs I use, we would just start BDing on Day 13 (DH was in flight home from Korea on Day 12), and just keep BDing while I continue to use OPK's, just to cover all our bases.

Well, last night before bed, I got to the bathroom and I'm bleeding again! In fact, it's more than what I had all last week when AF was here. I thought maybe it was just some spotting again, but it's still here this morning!

I'm so confused and so sick and tired of this. I have a call to the dr, and will stop by there during work tomorrow. Does this mean the Clomid is not going to work this cycle? Can the dr. tell what's going on if she does a sonogram? Shoud I ask for one? I really need answers.

I would see what the dr says. I am guessing you were just spotting for 7 days and maybe you got your real af this morning?

Was your dr going to do sonos to montior your follicle growth at all?

Update: I called my Doc, but she has not yet called me back... but even though I still want to talk to her and ask her to do a sonogram to see what's going on.....I FREAKIN' GOT A + ON MY OPK! There is no mistaken that the test line is darker than the control line.

I cannot believe this! I started to cry... and DH is now on his way home from work. You would have thought I got my BFP, but this is the first time in a YEAR that I've seen an unmistakenable + on an OPK. This 2WW is going to kill me!

ETA: This is my 2nd round of Clomid (the first being in January that did not work), and my 1st round doing the Clomid/Metformin combo.

So... due to circumstances I cannot talk about, and were beyond my control, BD did not happen last night

I'm sooooooooooo incredibly worried that we missed our shot by it not happening yesterday.

I got my postiive OPK yesterday, is there still a chance if we BD for the next three days? Or was it completely blown?

I'm devestated right now! And really hope that I didn't do the clomid this month for nothing.

Oh, and my doctor called me back just as DH got home last night and when I told her, I could hear how excited she was, and she offered to do IUI this cycle, but we said we wanted to try naturally. Was I an idiot for not scheduling an in office proecdure?

From what I understand (I don't use OPKs) but the positive sign means that you will O in the next day or so...the surge comes before actual O. So I think if you BD tonight, tomorrow and Thurs for good measure you can still catch it! And the fact that your doctor would have scheduled an IUI for probably today and tomorrow, that's when you'll BD anyway so you will be fine.


Re: IUI, if your DH has no sperm issues, I think you'll be fine doing the natural way. You are not an idiot LOL.

I also never got positive OPK's. However I was lucky enough to have a Dr. appt. and bloodwork the day of my surge, so they called me and told me. We scheduled the IUI for the NEXT day, and that is when I got my BFP.

So lots of BD for you missy!!!
