I do want to suggest, though, to anyone interested in Odesk, to pass on them and try Elance instead. I have read on a few forums about people having issues with clients paying them on Odesk. Elance uses an escrow system where clients pay Elance, then Elance pays you. They also have a widget that takes screenshots as you're working (not all clients use this) which may feel a little invasive, but then the client can't claim you didn't do the work. I did over $9k of work that way, and the client always paid me immediately.
