Updated**Cant believe how this year has turned out...

About three weeks ago I was on LIW asking for prayers for DH because he was being jerked around by his job and financially things are getting bad, hightening the tension in our house. We'll a promotion to supervisor came up and he deceided he was going to interview for it and hopefully turn things around. Well he didnt get it, which was okay in a way because they called him and told him that after speaking with him they saw him in a new light and was very impressed with him and saw alot of potential for him in the company. Well DH took it as possibly getting his old position back(long story short, DH was demoted back in July because he was robbed on his route and they didnt believe him because a year before he took a company loan out for close to the same amount because our taxes were held up and we needed to get our bills paid:that money was paid back to the company the following week when our check arrived...by the way this is something the company does for it's employees all the time). His defense was that if he needed money to pay our bills why wouldnt he just take another company loan why would he put his job on the line and steal it! Okay, a week goes by now and a pallet falls on his head and glass shatters all over him(he was on a fork lift so it saved him)his supervisor comes over and starts screaming at him, never once seeing if he's okay. DH goes to one of his bosses and tells him what happens and he tells him dont worry about it and the guy has no personality skills. As long as he's okay that's all that matters. Now mind you DH shows up to work early because his supervisor asks him to he does jobs that arent his. He has route drivers calling my house asking how to get to jobs and how to handle certain customers and routes!! Well on the following Friday after this DH is backing up a truck miss judges and hits the mirror on something and knocks it off. He goes right to the mechanic because it happened in front of him and tells him what happened. The mechanic fixes it!!
(Not that DH should have broken the mirror but again long story short...DH has two co workers that are constantly having accidents and told not to touch the trucks as well as destroying pallets of product every night) Okay a week goes by which brings us to last friday. DH gets to work(early as usual)his supervisor approaches him and says that the owners as well as his other boss want the two of them in their office. DH asks his supervisor why and he tells him he has NO idea. Well are u ready for this...Sorry but we have to let you go!!! They gave him a serverance package and sent him on his way, told him that if they could have fired him over the money they would have! That he didnt follow company procedure by going to the mechanic for the mirror instead of reporting it to his supervisor!! Then added that he is costing them too much money so they are not being vicious but looking at it as a profit thing!!OMG, what Cr**. You just told him you saw so much potential for him now that you've got to speak to him and now you fire him!! What the hell. Im sooooooooo losing my mind right now. They made him sign a letter of resignation too. Told him they will allow him to collect unemployment, which is nothing after they demoted him. He went from making almost three fig. to half of it so his unemployment will be nothing. There is no other company on Long Island that pays close to what this company pays either for this line of work. My crappy part time job is coming to an end because the kids are going to be home from school and Im starting nursing school in Sept. and have to give up my hours. We have been behind since July so coming out of this is insane, it got so bad we had to file for bankruptcy!! Im sorry for the ramble but I have been holding it in since it happened because we're just not ready to tell anyone because we cant handle all the helpful family advice and critisim. There is some much more going on as well on top of this. I just feel like im ready for a breakdown. Thanks for letting me vent.

****DH went on his interview and they offered him the job but only if he scrapped our vacation( which we already paid for)and start tommorow. He also called the company he wants to work for out here on the island that pays pretty much what his other job did and the guy told him he has the job he's just waiting to get the okay from the main office after they run his paperwork but he was glad to hear from DH and that he's really interested in working for them(he's also aware of our vacation and told him that although it's a really bad week for them that he'll work with him because it's already paid for). He has an interview too with another branch of the company he worked for on Tuesday. Still not feeling much better though***

i wish i had some advice for you, but i don't i have lots of though. things happen for a reason, im sure everything will find a way to work itself out!

I am so sorry for what you are going through....all you can do is keep your chin up, have DH get out there and pound the pavement for a job. I know your situation seems desperate butthings can turn around

Thanks! I've been torn up for the whole week especially since I have no one to vent to. Out of no where all I seem to do is cry. I even feel humiliated for DH and myself which makes no sense. He's been there for three years and we have gone to parties with these people and vacationed with these people and not one person has called him since they let him go. I just cant grasp what happened and how in the last year it's turned so wrong. DH has already gone to a few places and been in contact with his union. That's the other thing his shop stewart went into the meeting after being told that DH was being suspended for a week and when they let him go was the first he new what was going on also. Instead of helping him fight it though because the union is supposed to help you with job security this guy just told him there was no hope and his advice was to resign! Then he doesnt return any of DH's phone calls regarding on being placed someone else.

Thanks! Im hoping that things work out tommorow the way DH is hoping with this one company. Im alittle disappointed that he is not willing to travel at all though, because his union rep said that he should call the guy that runs his company for the city(queens) it's different owners(it's actually company run). Hard to really explain but he would actually wind up with a better deal possibliy then he did with the same company in Long Island. I think that's why Im sooooo distressed because of the anxiety of waiting until tommorow to see what happens. Also I know it sounds selfish but this company just had perks that no other company I know of in his industry. Like beach parties on fire island, company trips all over(last one was to cancun), black tie christmas parties, you would win all sorts of contests where they would fly you places. I know it's silly but without this kind of job it wouldnt have financially been possible for us to experience alot of the things we could of. I know I'll get over it but right now Im sooooo bitter. I feel like know matter what we do we never get past Go! Thanks again for listening.

Thanks! Can you believe DH opened the paper today and his company is hiring people for his old position which they kept telling him they had no room for to put him back! Anyhow, he has an interview today at 1pm with a company he really doesnt want to work for. He's left a message for the other company he does want to work for and he has an interview set up for the LIC version of his company here(which he doesnt want to travel for) We leave for our cruise which was paid in full so I cant even not go now, on the 18th. Im so stressed over money I dont know how I could possibley have fun.
