Updated....I am soooo worried...I feel a lump 3 mths after my dog got a vaccine
OMG, I am sooooo upset and worried...
i feel a lump where my dog gets his vaccines and it was 3 mths ago. So thats too long now for it to be the vaccine itself...they do get lumps sometimes from shots but never last this long.
Someone please calm me down. He cant be seen until tomorrow and I am so upset.
The only thing I am hoping is that he had his teeth cleaned under sedation in Aug and maybe they gave him a shot in that area and there is still a residual swelling/inflammation from it? Is this possible 2 mths later???
This dog is my son. My first child. Please it's nothing.
Update - Went to the vet and he said it doesn't fit the description of a cancerous growth as that would be more hard and nodule like. He doesn't think it's anything to be worried about. Could be residual inflammation from shots he had 2 and 3 mths ago, could be fat, could be a bruise (my other dog does bite his back), could be a fluff of fur they didn't cut as short as the other side.
We have to give it a mth and see what happens but for now...it doesn't look suspicous to him (and I do trust my vet). So I will continue to nothing changes or it goes away. Thanks ladies. I love my baby boy sooooo much it hurts me inside.

Omg.. I am soo upset for you.. There is a lump on lolas back and its a tiny cyst.. the vet told me to leave it alone and eventually if it gets bigger I can have it removed.. Where is it???? is it in the same spot of the shot? Please try to be calm (easier said than done) does it move?? can you pick it up if you squeeze his skin? poor baby

I dont think it's a cyst...see, its not hard and grabbable...its more flat and squishy...like the size of a golf ball but not raised or hard like that, just the diameter, kwim?
Maybe its a fatty deposit? I thats all it is, but it's definitely where he gets his shots, every time, same side....I am sick to my stomach with worry.

This does sound like a fatty deposit.. Where exactly is this? on his back?

You know these are our babies.. How do we not worry about them.. I am just like you always thinking the worst.. I know exactly how this played out in your mind too.. Its unbearable. How old is he?? Lola just turned 3 in Sept that means she is 21 I cant bear to watch her grow old even.. its driving me nuts!!

My boy is 4.5. I can't believe he is 4.5 already.
