****UPDATED***i am SOOOOO happy (very long) ...Baptism related..please wish me luck
So, i was concerned with when my  would be baptized...considering my church closes the baptismal font between Ash Wednesday and Easter...i didnt know if we'd be ready before February because i haven't taken the class or anything yet..i wasnt so much concerned about "party planning" because for us, the actual meaning of the ceremony is the ONLY thing we are concerned with and we wont be having a party for her anyway, itll be just a few friends and family for an intimate dinner or something...nothing crazy...anyway..my dh and i have really been racking our brain because AFTER easter, it gets so crazy at the church because there are SO many babies waiting to be baptised, that we were kinda upset it would be alil impersonal (my church is HUGE) and since me and my ds were BOTH baptised there, its a very personal, big deal to us...
anyway i speak to my very close friend today who helps out with the RCIA (conversion program for adults) and it turns out that there are no adults being baptised at the Easter Vigil this year at my parish..only those receiving the sacrament of communion and confirmation...so they were looking for a new baby that would be born this year into the church, and wanted to see if i was interested in having my baptised at the EASTER VIGIL...which is like a HUGE honor!!!
i am so emotionally overjoyed i cant believe it..our church is VERY special to us, and this baby is certainly a miracle to us as well..it just couldnt be more perfect...
tomorrow we will get the "OK" from the Priest at my church, I HOPE...so im asking all of you ladies to please pray for us that this can happen for us...my family has been through SO MUCH in the last year or so, and this church has brought me through so many difficult times in our lives..for me, this is the most special honor i could ask for..those of you that know how important the Easter Vigil mass is, can relate..
so i just ask for some prayers that this all works out for us :)

Aww that is great! I hope it all works out!
My cousins baby was baptised on Easter and she said it was absolutley beautiful. (We were away, we couldn't be there).
I am sure it will all work out and be an absolutley wonderful ceremony.

OMG... what an honor!!!! As you know, the Easter Vigil is the most important Mass of the liturigcal year... how very special that she will be such an important part of it--- how beautiful! I hope she can sit still for 2 hours!!!  Congrats...

I AM SO EXCITED!!!! I got a call from my friend, and he said he spoke to the Head Pastor at the church (who knows myself and dh) and he said he would be HONORED to do this"!!
Can you imagine?!?!?!

i did too, at this very same church 4 years ago, and 2 weeks before my ds made his communion there...i am so excited i cant stop thinking about it!!
It just seems so perfect for us, she was NEVER supposed to be born, we had a very hard time conceiving...i had just gotten over cancer..
the name we picked for her, and her due date, are the SAME as the Saint shes named for and HER Saints day..
My husband was originally supposed to be away for Easter, and we have been racking our brains deciding when we were gonna do this...
AND, my goodness, but theres a chance this baby will be born on Christmas now that my due date was moved up...so, it would be incredible then to have her baptized on Easter :)
