*UPDATED*Losing mucus plug at 33 weeks!! WWYD??
I have been having contractions on/off all day and I've noticed some mucousy discharge at times today so I am beginning to think I may be losing my mucus plug...I thankfully havent had a bloody show, but I'm still wondering....can i even lose my mucus plug with a cerclage in place??? does anyone know?
ETA: im definitely losing it. it is coming out in small pieces which would make sense since i am stitched in 2 different spots of my cervix. would you call your dr if you lost your mucus plug at 33 weeks??? i know it doesnt necessarily mean that i will go into labor right away, but im still so early...and bc of my cerclage i cannot risk dilating w/o having the stitch removed bc i will tear...

I lost my plug with all my pregnancies at around that time...
It was in stages and over a period of time not all at once....
I did contact the doctor each time....

I would call to be safe and maybe to get checked out but yeah, a lot of people starting losing it weeks before they actually go into labor.

Definitely call. Especially since, I'm sure, they're watching you a little more closely with the cerclage. They'll probably want to know about this.

CALL YOUR DOC
I lost pcs when I was 31 weeks, I went in for an internal and was already 2 cm and 70% effaced. stayed on bedrest until 37 wks. make sure you request an internal exam.
in the mean time try and stay off your feet

yes, esp. if they consider you high risk. let them do some monitoring and maybe even a FFN test.

Re: Losing mucus plug at 33 weeks!! WWYD??
i ended up not calling. i knew if i did they would send me in for monitoring and honestly, i have already been to L&D 4x in the last 2 months and i already get monitored at the high-risk dr office 2x/week along with weekly cervical checks and sonos. ive just about had it
i havent seen any blood so i know im not dilating...if i dilate, i will start tearing so the dr said i will see some blood. im constantly checking for any blood and counting my contractions.
ill be at the dr again on tues so ill mention it then!

i've been there with the monitoring and the way the peri can make you crazy. i hope this is nothing more than just an increase in discharge!
