Updates - had amnio today, and my info on thrombophilia and fragile x
First of all, I want to thank everyone who offered me support and advice and hugs and prayers. The past couple of weeks have been so stressful, but I think things are looking up now.
Thrombophilia -- My dr. ordered the tests, and I don't have it! I can fly with no worries.
Fragile X - not so lucky, but its not so bad. I have a premutation of 61 repeats. It has to be over 200 repeats to be a full mutation, so the chance of the baby having the full mutation is less than 3%.
Fragile X is not very severe in girls, and my OB told my yesterday, that I am having a  I burst into tears of joy. So in the less than 3% chance she has a full mutation, it won't be as severe as if it were a boy.
I had an amnio today, so we will find out for sure the sex in 2 days, and whether or not I passed on my bum X, and if I did, then we have to wait about 3 more weeks to find out whether or not she is a premuation or a full mutation
I was scared to death of the amnio. Not so much about the pain, but about the risks associated with it. It really didn't hurt at all, and I'm feeling OK now. Minor cramps, but nothing major. I just can't wait until tomorrow at 3, when the 24 hours since the amnio have passed.
So, ladies who are getting one, breathe! It really wasn't bad.
Please keep praying that me and DD get through this til tomorrow!
