UPDATE...So...Last night I thought my water broke....
I was standing up and felt this GUSH of fluid. I ran to thebathroom...and more came out. I whipped myself and I saw blood!
I call my doc right away and he told me it sounds like the real thing...to go to the hospital.
The resident (who was not nice) examined me and told me that my water did NOT break. Ok...so basically I peed my pants? She said I could be leaking fluid...The blood still freaked me out. She did not know what caused the bleading? It was less while in the hospital...but now there is some more...with some clots (like period clots)
They kept me for 2 hours and sent me home.
I am calling my doc now...but do you girls think im on my way?

LOL this may be TMI - but they say that the fluid has a distinct smell to it...did it smell like anything?

TMI again, but Usually when I pee..it is yellow...and this was CLEAR but with blood....Baby G is coming soon!

if you are bleeding i would say you definitely need to go to your doctor or L&D. sorry the resident was an a$$!!

In a learning dvd, it was actually said that amniotic fluid has NO smell so that's how you would know if it's urine, discharge, "water".
Also... isn't there a "bloody show" of sorts. That's what this could be. Or you could be someone who has an extra bloody mucous plug??? But you'll get the answer from your OB, hopefully soon!
I also learned that they do not consider you in labor until you have at least two "signs of labor" together. Did the hospital say you were efaced or dilated any? Any contractions?
I'm sorry you had a crummy resident.  Hopefully things progress positively for you! And you get a better attending!!!!
