UPDTATE: Feds Are Denying it. - Teresa Giudice’s House Raided By The Feds And Assets Seized; See The Court Docs

Reports that federal agents raided the Montville Township home of Teresa and Joe Giudice and seized Christmas presents, plasma televisions, jewelry and stashes of hidden cash are not true, according to a spokesman for the U.S. Attorney's Office that prosecuted the couple for bankruptcy, mail and wire fraud.
RadarOnline.com and AllAbouttheTea.com both cites sources close to the "Real Housewives of New Jersey" stars confirming a raid because they failed to set up a payment plan to repay the $214,588.90 they owe in restitution for their mortgage scam. But Matt Reilly, the U.S. Attorney's Office spokesman, says his office is continuing to work with the couple to schedule repayment, and has not ordered any such seizure.
"Anyone went over there under official capacity, it would be under us," he says.
The detailed report from AllAbouttheTea.com claims that county deputies, along with two probation officers and two interns, arrived at the couple's mansion on Monday and confiscated all of Teresa's jewelry, high-end accessories, and a large amount of cash hidden behind a trap door in the ceiling of a closet. But a spokeswoman for the Morris County Sheriff's Office says no deputies were involved in any raid on the Giudice home.

Oh dear… things just went from bad, to worse for Teresa Giudice! Just weeks before the Real Housewives Of New Jersey star heads to prison for 15 months the feds have raided her NJ home to confiscate high-priced items Teresa and Joe Giudice withheld from their asset declaration report during their October 2nd sentencing. Investigators were shocked to find cash, jewelry, and other expensive items hidden from the government!
According to various news reports and verified by Reality Tea‘s sources, Judge Esther Salas, who sentenced the Giudices and lectured them about lying to the courts about dollar-values of items such as jewelry and other possessions, obtained a court order for the Feds to legally enter their mansion on Monday.
The Feds arrived unannounced while Teresa was home. Teresa “was absolutely stunned by the raid. She had no clue they were coming. She was absolutely hysterical. They were there for hours,” says an insider.
Teresa was forced to stay in the kitchen while federal officers searched the home to cross-examine items Teresa and Joe declared on their financial report as compared to what the bankruptcy trustee’s investigator found. Teresa and Joe owe $14 million dollars after their bankruptcy was denied, part of that is a unpaid taxes, but Teresa still owes also owe over $214,588.90 in outstanding restitution, which must be paid before she enters prison.
The Feds were searching for items that could satisfy these outstanding debts, including the restitution – and they were not disappointed as they seized assets, including expensive Christmas gifts purchased for Teresa’s daughters! Teresa was “begging them not to take the girls’ Christmas presents,” a source reveals. “The Giudices have a lot of possessions that they did not try to claim when first granted the opportunity to rightfully do so. Due to additional information that was received after the, the feds felt they had no choice but to do this,” says Radar Online’s source.
“They found lots of real jewelry, which had a high monetary value,” a source shares. Teresa told the judge most of her jewelry was costume jewelry and worth $0 dollars – a statement she echoed to Andy Cohen during a WWHL sit-down post-sentencing. “They took everything jewelry wise except her wedding band,” reports RumorFix.
Investigators were also shocked to find “a large amount of cash” hidden in the wine cellar. Hey – I don’t blame the Giudices for having a just in case fund for their girls while they’re locked up!
As for what happened to all the items obtained in the raid, it’s now being used against what the Giudices owe the government. “The property will now be auctioned off with the money going into a trust account,” explains a source. “If there is any money left over, it would go to paying creditors in their bankruptcy, in which they owe $14.3 million.”
Teresa is said to be “absolutely devastated” that there won’t be any Christmas gifts for her daughters.
Sigh – I just have NO idea what to even say about Teresa’s indefensible actions. It’s like she gets stupider and stupider and stupider by the second. I mean, how idiotic must you be to continuously lie to the government after you’ve been caught time and time again?! I can’t even snark this because it’s so abysmally pathetic. I do have one question: how much of this did Bravo get on film?

Wow, just wow. I feel for their girls. Their last Xmas together as a family for about 5 years....maybe they will all learn not to be so materialistic. Theresa and joe really think they are above the law. They're getting what they deserve.

I feel awful for the girls. The only thing I can say is, hopefully this is a lesson for the 4 of them that no one is above the law and that there are consequences for your actions.
as sorry as i am for the girls... sadly, i feel that the "lesson" they will go away with is that everyone is out to get them because they ARE better than everyone else. just look at the example their parents have been living by for all these years.
i pray i'm wrong, but i don't see it going any other way.
