Upgrading electric...is this a good price?
We have been in our house for a little short of 3 years. We only have 60amp now.....keep in mind we still have the OLD fuse box where you have to actually change the fuse if one blows.
We had someone come over last night to see how much it would be to bump up to 200.
They have us a price of $1800.00
I am clueless when it comes to things like this and my hubby says it a good price.....Is it really a good price?

We upgraded from 60 to 200 last year and paid in that neighborhood.

Our house had 60amp also and we made it a condition to close that our seller upgrade the electric to 200 and it cost them $1600 2 years ago. The replaced the box and the on the inside and outside and the wires going to it.

We went from 100 amp to 200 amp and paid $1400. Sounds reasonable.
