Upgrading to king size bed. Silly questions.
Ok so two questions . . .
Do most people use king size pillows?
If you switched from a queen to a king, how did you arrange switching the beds/mattress? The bed will be delivered on a Saturday and the mattress is coming separately. Will Potterybarn take apart our old bed or would we do that ahead of time (I realize this is probably a question for them)? The mattress probably won't come the same day, so would you put the old queen mattress on the king frame?

No clue if they take the old bed. The queen mattress will only fit if the bed frame has a solid base. Otherwise the bars will be too far apart.

I doubt they would take apart the existing bed that you have if you ordered a new one

I don't think they will take apart your bed or move it out of the way. That's on you. And I would just sleep on the floor with the queen mattress until the new one gets delivered.

We do not use king size pillow on our king size bed. Sorry - can't help with your other questions, but I would doubt PB would take apart your old bed

I have a few king size pillows; but the regular pillows fit, 3 across.

We use only king pillows but only because we like the longer size. PB probably wont take the bed apart but If you tip the guys about $50, im sure they will do this for you. Im speaking from past experiences. I good tip could get these guys to do a lot for you.

Sheet sets come with king cases. I know at one time some comforter sets had 2-king or 3-standard shams, not sure if the later still exists. 2 stand won't look right on a kind bed

We use standard pillows on our king. We both did not like king pillows. Extra fabric on the pillowcases gets tucked inside, to keep it neat.

I use a king pillow and DH uses a regular pillow. You will love your king bed - it's seriously probably the best decision I ever made lol - could never go back to a queen!

King bed with king pillows. I did not like the look of regular pillows on the bed.
No idea about the swap out. We had our old mattress on the floor. Our bed was delivered and the new mattress came a few days later. When they delivered the mattress they took the old.
