UPS dropping off at the Post office????
This make absolutely NO friggin sense to me....someone care to explain why a company would ship something to me via UPS and tell them to drop it off at the post office to have them deliver it to me???????????
As requested by the sender, UPS has transferred this shipment to the local post office for delivery to the final destination.

It was probably shipped via Mail Innovations which is a UPS/USPS partnership.

I believe there may be a really cheap UPS service that offers delivery to the local Post Office and then its up to the mailmail to actually do final delivery.
Maybe the sender did this?
Also did you put a PO box in your shipping address?

Nope...no PO Box...
One would think that actually putting it in the mail would have both been cheaper AND faster

Yes, its a new service-mail Innovations, as CathyB said. I had shoes delivered like that from FootSmart. It was annoying because it took longer than UPS ground, which is how I thought it was coming.
I don't have use a PO box either and can get UPS deliveries.

It's cheaper - doesn't make sense when UPS has to drive past my house from the local center to get to the post office but, it's cheaper.
The last time it happened - they brought it to the wrong post office (not sure how that happened since there was a town and zip code on the package) and it took a few days longer...

Macys does this too!! Second time i noticed that happened..the first time i was confused b/c i thought i had to pick it up at the post office...until i realized they will drop it off, just a step more which is annoying!

Fed x has this option as well, and its just F*** annoying. The postal service just makes everything take THAT much longer..

I agree this is absolutely STUPID!!!! WHAT THE ??!?!?!?!
I ordered stuff from Lands End and according to the Tracking Order History provided by UPS, the item arrived at my local post office on July 19th. I am sitting here wondering why my order was taking so long to arrive????!?!
How long should it take for the post office to deliver the package to my door?? Its been 2 weeks already!??! Is this normal!??!?!?!??!
