Urge to re arrange and remodel my bedroom need ideas!
Right now I have dark wood espresso furniture that I have grown to hate. It's too dark and gloomy for me. The dresser drawers are small and not deep enough. I never have enough room for my clothes!
I was thinking of moving this set upstairs to my guest room.
I'm in major need if a new mattress and I want to upgrade to king size. So, I was thinking of getting one of those headboards fabric or leather for the new bed.
Without breaking the bank bc those are expensive!
I want to go neutral colors and more on the light and airy side.
Anyone have some inspiring ideas?
Edited to show headboard I just found:
What do you girls think? If I go as light as this, will I regret it because it will get dirty? I kind of like that it has the extra padding there. Yay or nay? NE ER MIND it SOLD OUT i the size I need GRRRRRR

I have white furniture in my bedroom and love it. I also have a canopy, which I adore. What color are your walls currently? fresh paint can really change the entire look and feel of a room.

That's what I want white furniture.
A canopy ? That sounds so pretty.
The colors I am not crazy about. They are medium beige
And the accent wall is a blue color.
I would like to paint them a lighter color a well:

We have a wall color called muslin, it's a really light neutral color. We have an upholstered headboard that was not expensive but I think it looks great. We also have dark wood dressers and night stands but maybe you could go with white or mirrored.
We have mirrored furniture with a leather headboard in our vacation house bedroom and it makes the room look bigger and brighter.
I love the idea of finding older high quality wood furniture used and repainting it a light shade. Usually the older furniture has big, well made drawers.

Bassett has beauitful custom upholstery headboards but they are on the pricey side, I have seen some nice ones in the Home Decorators catalog as well.

I am in love with my headboard. I got mine at Bob's cheap, but they have them all over. It's upholstered fabric with naillhead trim. I plan on getting mirrored nightstands and dressers to go with it.

Joss and main sells reasonably priced upholstered headboards, as well as beautiful furniture. Stalk the website for a month to see if anything interests you.
Home goods may also carry headboards.
