Urgent (but hopefully not stupid) Passport Question
It says on Mikey's passport that it is not valid unless signed....
Um, do I just sign his name for him? Or do I sign mine?
Is there a place where I can look for this answer??

They just had us sign his in customs last night. They said either parent signs their (the parents) name and puts "mother" or "father" next to it

I would call the US Passport Office or go to their website and clarifiy before doing anything.

I was at Customs on Tuesday. They had me sign my name with "Mother" in quotes next to it. Hope that helps.

Your the guardian, so you would have to sign. Call them up, I'm sure they won't laugh. It's a honest question.

Cheryl - I just found this online
My child is too young to sign his/her own passport. How do I sign my child's passport?
In the space provided for the signature, the mother or father must print the child's name and sign their own name. Then, in parenthesis by the parent's name, write the word (mother) or (father) so we know who signed for the child.

We have travelled both in and out of the country using Jeremy's passport and it is not signed. Didn't even occur to me!
