But I feel like if they did a rapid flu test at least have someone come back in the check on that... we won't go to that one again. I get there could be a wait but you leave patients sitting for an hour is unacceptable. I got a text survey and it said to rate from one to 5 with one being poor. I put one and got a quick please explain why your experience was bad with an apology.

I've waited a while in the past so we usually call ahead now to get an appointment. I'm not sure if that's the norm, but the one near us takes appointments and gets those people in first before walk-ins.

I've only gone once with my son. We went to ProHealth Pediatrics in Wantagh this past Sunday and only waited 15 minutes. The place was pretty empty though. It was around 12pm. I only saw 1 doctor and 2 nurses walking around.

for myself i waited about two hours about 2 weeks ago. the place was packed. at PM pediatrics waited less than 5 minutes with my DC last week.

Oh it never ends... they called to "follow up" I said we wee never seen by a doctor. I said they did a flu test. , yeah it was positive. Great thanks. When I said we were never seen and walked out she said "ok you were just on a list to follow up you can disregard the message".

never.. we have virtual check-ins.

Walk in or urgent care clinics have always been here. I was amazed they weren't there when I moved to NY. It was odd. But I hear you guys have more now. Anyway, we always have them. It's just normal. So we now have virtual check ins. Plus most ERs will post wait times on billboards on the highways up to the hospitals so you know before you go there. Some boast half hour or less. Walk ins though you can log in online and put yourself on the list before you ever leave the house. So you check in virtually. Also keeps you away and out of sickly wait rooms with who knows what germs.

I haven't used them since we just don't get sick. We don't get the flu shot and we only see the doc by appointment. The one time I had to see a doctor for AJ, we went to an ER and there was no wait at all.

Now the VA.. forget about it. That ER is hours long. But my father was so bad they saw us right away and ticked off a lot of people doing it. They triage and take the more life threatening issues first. When my blood pressure was unreal (like stroke like death, how am I alive bad) they took me in over stab wounds. I only got put aside for the guy who nearly took his own head off with a chain saw that fell on his neck. Fair enough.

Going to the ER for me is exactly that.. Emergency and if I have to wait, I figure it's because I can wait. I consider myself lucky. I a paniced worried doctor worries me.
