Usher is trying to shut down his biggest fan site.

The R'n'B star is battling to close usherforever.com because the website's
owner Erika Jackson disapproves of his fiancée Tameka Foster.

A source told the New York Daily News newspaper: "Usher has had his lawyers
send her papers."

Foster has proven unpopular with many of Usher's fans, following speculation
she was the driving force behind the firing of Usher's manager mother
Jonetta Patton.

The 28-year-old singer recently parted ways with long-time publicist Simone
Smalls, while his representative Chris Chambers has also left the team.

Chambers is said to have disapproved of the open letter Usher released to
his fans last week, while usherforever.com branded it "petty".

The 'Confessions' singer, who is rumoured to be planning to marry Tameka in
a secret ceremony this month, said in the letter: "It's disturbing that the
media and bloggers (under the guise as 'fans') continuously speculate on the
personal aspects of my life. I am happy, excited, completely clear and
independent in my direction, feelings, decisions and I am NOT BEING LED."

It has also been reported Usher is set to miss the August deadline to finish
his new album in time for a November release.

However, a Jive Records spokeswoman insists a definite date hasn't been set.

Usher's representative also denied his client is in danger of not finishing
the new record in time, saying: "That information is not accurate."
