I received a basinet and a PNP that can also be used for a bassinet. Just wondering if the bassinet is necessary.

TIA

I used that part until I couldn't anymore. 17lbs is the limit I think. It was easier not having to lean so far down and risk waking her up when putting her in.

you don't have to use bassinet , but it makes it easier to put them down when they are asleep.

The bassinet isn't neccesary but a life saver for me. I planned on using the crib from day 1 and this for the livingroom but DS has been sleeping in this everynight by my bed!!!!

This is the one I have.

nothing is really "necessary" these days but I can tell you that it was more convienient when they are infants. We had our PNP downstairs so DS napped in it during the day and it was just easier to use rather than have to bend all the way down to get him in and out.

We used it all the time when DS was smaller. It worked out really well for us!

Same here. This was where DD took her daytime naps for a while.

We used the bassinet part of the PNP for about 3 months - that's where DD napped and slept at night because she hated her actual bassinet!
