Using the snowblower- how early is too early?
So starting to get concerned about tomorrow's commute...if it continues to snow overnight, DH and I will need to get up at around 5am to dig out. How early is too early to use the snowblower? I dont want to be rude and offend the neighbors.

honestly, if you HAVE to drive into work (no snow day available to you like my DH who is a cop), then i don't think any time is too early.....if you gotta work, you gotta work!

I think snow-blowing is kind of 'special circumstance'. I'd understand if my neighbor had to go out super early to get it done (it's way better than leaving it all day!).
If it was your regular landscaping on the other hand... I hate it when they come before 9!

Re: Using the snowblower- how early is too early?
Given the circumstances, I think it's fine. If you were my neighbor, it wouldn't bother me because I am up that early anyways with DS.
With us, we are fortunate because all of our neighbors are all up and out early daily (at least by 7AM).
We also live on a street that while not a "main" street, has a lot more traffic then some of the other blocks in our neighborhood so I also don't think it's a big deal because of that.

While I would hate to be woken up by it I would still understand since its not happening every day and if I worked somewhere where I had to be up I would be doing the same thing....so I say fire up the snowblower

I went out and shoveled a couple of hours ago and not much new snow has fallen since then, at least not here by me. Less than an inch I'd say.
I'd think that if you just did it tonight, your driveway should still be passable in the morning...unless the weather is supposed to worsen, in which case the roads tomorrow will be terrible anyway
