Usually comments don't really bother me, but this has my blood boiling

DH is a restaurant manager. Often, he has gay male servers. Sometimes, comments will be made towards Leo by one, but he laughs and brushes it off. I am proud of Leo for not overreacting or anything.

This one though, "Nasty Nate" as he has named himself I feel has gone too far. My sister was here visiting, broke and in college, so she goes to work for Leo when in town for extra cash. A server was asking my sister about Josh, my sister was gushing. Then Nasty Nate overhears this and says, "Oh, are you talking about my future stepson, Josh?"

If a female server was saying this, I would want to meet her out in the parking lot. Since Nasty Nate is saying this, I don't think he should get away with it. Leo says he just doesn't pay attention. I said what if it was the other way around and one of my make believe co-workers wanted you out of the pic and called josh his stepson...

I know to just let it go, but it struck such a nerve.

Since he knows Leo is:
1. Heterosexual
2. Married to you
3. not going to kill you off & marry him

I think he thinks he's safe to make comments. Rude, yes. A possiblity, no.

He doesn't want you out of the picture. He wants to keep announcing that he's gay & available to everyone in hearing distance.

I think Leo, as manager, shouldn't be ignoring the comments. From an HR perspective, he's doing Nate a disservice. Unless this is a strip club, work is no place to make sexual or inappropriate comments. He should address is as a professional. Letting it go sends the message that it's ok to do in his restaurant - where his patrons can hear.

thanks. I told Leo that he is being harassed and that its going to be a problem if nate does this to other servers.

only strip going down in the establishment is the NY Strip

I am glad my sister reported all this to me, she also heard a large female customer tell Leo that she would like to wrap him in aluminum foil and bake him till he's black and juicy, then started grunting...
I asked him what he did, he said he did not go back out by her table.

That makes sense what you said though...Nate knows I am not leaving, that's why he says things like that. I feel better. I won't be keying any vehicles this weekend

It's definitely harassment and he should report it. I do have to LOL at the "large customer" wanting to wrap him in aluminum foil. Who comes up with this stuff?

I worked with a guy just like that. There are SOME gay men that love to be so out there. This guy I used to work with used to pinch my friends arse everytime he saw him. He thought he was being funny.
I would tell your husband to tell this guy to tone it down. He's not asking him to go back in the closet just hide in there from time to time.

Your DH probably should tell him to "tone it down a bit". He is the Manager and needs to regain "some" control before it goes out of control. Just to show him, DH is still in charge and he is the boss.

I would find it quite flattering that someone fancied my husband!!! But thats just me.

I wouldn't let it bother you. I flirt with a lot of our male friends and I call my friends kids like my future daughter in law and stuff.
