UTI and BFP?

If you have a UTI, can it cause a false BFP when testing?

Someone at my job said she had a UTI and when she tested the same day she had BFP but it was false...

she is a little bit of a story teller so I am not sure what to believe ..so I came to the source

Ummm, I've never heard that. I've also heard that there is really no such thing as a false BFP, as long as the results are read in the specified amount of time, only evaporation lines that are sometimes misread as positive. An evaporation line has no color but is just an indentation of a line.
