I plan to take at least one vacation before I give birth(if God blesses me with a child)...but the latest I think I'll go is 7 months if the Dr. permits

Re: Vaca ???
If blessed with a baby, we're prob flying really early on (X-Mas) and then I wouldn't go past month 7.

Re: Vaca ???
I wouldn't have any problems with flying up until and including my 6th month. I'm also a big wuss, and would probably keep my vaca's within a 3 hour flying time of home.

Re: Vaca ???
While on vacation? Yes. You'd hope that nothing would happen and you wouldn't need a doctor. I mean, you don't see him regularly anyway.

I have a similar concern...DH's family booked us on a cruise in January, and even though it leaves from NY, I'm not too keen on being in not so medically advanced countries like Belize and Honduras for 2 weeks if I am PG!

Re: Vaca ???
I flew my entire pregnancy. From the 1st week to week 33. I took about 10 trips.

Re: Vaca ???
PG would not prevent me from flying at all. Unless of course its the very end.

Re: Vaca ???
nope just got back from Bermuda actually and I'm 15 1/2 weeks. I'd go away on vaca until I was told that I couldn't.

Re: Vaca ???
I've flown several times since I've been pregnant. The last (and final) time was in August when I was 28 weeks. I didn't have any problems. Definately, don't let being pregnant keep you from taking vacations!

Re: Vaca ???
i would think it would depend how far along you were... i would wait until the 2nd trimester... i'd hate to be flying the way i feel right now with very bad ms...
but as long as you are in an area with good hosptials (like not out of the country) i would be fine..

Re: Vaca ???
If it was within the US I would be fine flying as long as my Dr. said it was OK!

Re: Vaca ???
You'll hear mixed reviews over whether you should fly during your first trimester- both my regular DR. and my OB had no issue with me flying at 5 weeks- the trip had been previsouly planned. Then I wanted to go on a babymoon and had no issue flying then either (22 weeks) but we wound up cruising out of NY. DH's cousin got married Labor Day weekend (I was 33 weeks) and we contemplated going, but the airfare was too expensive- otherwise I would have flown without thinking too much of it.

Re: Vaca ???
I asked my Doctor b/c we have a cruise planned at Thanksgiving and even though we are not pregnant yet we are trying - he said it was no problem even if I am pregnant by that time. He said he would see me before I go and to go and have a great time. BTW my doctor specializes in high risk if that makes any difference.
WDW is great! But there will be a lot of rides you won't be able to go on. As long as you are happy with that and do to the tons of stuff that is okay for pregnant women I say go and have a great time!
