Vacation Help Needs to Be resolved in 1 hour- What Would You Do?
Ok- so here is the deal. We are going to Miami this weekend. We booked a hotel but then I realized it didn't have a pool. My BIL works with the owner of that (and several other )hotels and said he can get us upgraded to a hotel with a pool and get us a discount. We made a back up reservation at the Fountain Bleu.
Well now they can't upgrade to a hotel with a pool, and this pool has no beach club, but they will give us a $200 discount- making 3 nights in this very nice South Beach Hotel very inexpensive. We can use the public beach.
So do we stay in the Fountain Bleu which does have a pool, and a beach resort, but is not in South Beach and is a lot older for $200 more, or do we stay at the hip, trendy, new hotel in South Beach for less and just go out and buy or rent a chair.
If I am going to cancel the reservation and the south beach hotel, I need to do it by 3:00 today.
Did I mention I am 7 1/2 months pregnant? What to do??!!
ETA: I just found out that at the SOBE Hotel I can rent chairs and an umbrella for $10 a day. SO that solves the problem. The only issue is the no pool. But I am such an Ocean person- that for the extra $ I think I can live with that.

I would stay at the trendy hotel & go to the public beach. Depends on how much time you plan on taying or going to the beach & pool.

I'm just worried about being uncomfortable laying on the sand. I am so big right now!! If I wasn't SO pregnant, it wouldn't be an issue.

Oh, yeah, that's true! I think you should be ok though. What do you want to do?

I'd go to the one with the pool -- I like the sun but not the sand.

I would probably go with Fountain Bleu. I think that it would just be easier on you.

Being pregnant, you will prob be much more comfortable by the pool then at the beach. If you want a hotel in SB, the Loews is beautiful and has a really nice pool area. I stayed there and loved it!
