Vacationing with a 3 month old

DH and I would like to take a small vacation somewhere this summer with DD but she will only be 3 months old and we don't know where to go. Are there any places you can think of (driving distance) that would be enjoyable for us and DD.

Re: Vacationing with a 3 month old

hmm.. mine wasn't exactly a vaca away. hub had a conference thing to go to in philly. and since it was a short drive.. why not. it was pleasant. went to the zoo, park, shopped a bit. it was a nice warm-up to future vacas.

if not philly, how's about boston? washington dc? you could even stay in the city. there's central park, museums, plenty of shops and eateries that are very children friendly. wherever you go, wish you luck and lots of fun!

To be honest, nothing you do at 3 months is going to be that much fun for DD. They tend to just go with the flow at that age. I would plan something that you and your DH want to do. There are lots of nice trips to take within driving distance- Philly, Boston, Rhode Island shore, Jersey shore, Mystic, Maine, Vermont, etc...

Hi Colleen! When can I come by to meet Haley???

Anyway, as you know I go upstate every year with my family - I think you should come! My brother and Maria are taking their Haley (who will be 3 months) in July with us!

I think any place within 2-3 hour driving distance and any place where there is more relaxing rather than site seeing and all that is fine. Which is exactly what we do upstate! Chat Icon

Hi Lauren! I would love for you to come by and see Haley. Anytime that's good for you is good for me.

As I was posting this question I thought of you. I remember Patty always saying she was going and she always had a great time. When are you going and where is it again?
