Vacuum Cleaner Recommendation Needed
I am looking to get a new vacuum cleaner that is good for picking up pet hair. I don't want to spend over $200. Any recommendations?

i love my Bissel Cleanview Helix. Its $79 at Target and picks up all my pet hair.
I did some research before I bought it and everyone says the pet hair vacuums you are just payign for the name and the regular versions work just as god.

Kenmore canister vacuums from Sears are my favorite...
I even convinced my mom (who has central vac in her house) to buy one! They're lightweight, have excellent suction, and are easy to maneuver in a 2-story home.

I second this. As much as the expensive vacuums look so enticing, I could never do it. I have a Sears canister for years and it does a great job. It has a couple of power attachments so it gets everything up including cat hair from my area rugs. Just make sure you get one with a long enough hose. Some models have shorter hoses.

The shark navigator... that thing is a beast, I love it. It works for carpet AND wood floors. Also, comes with great attachments for pickig up dust and pet hair.
$200 @ Bed, Bath and Beyond but I used the 20% coupon and got it for $160!!

I second the shark navigator. Purchased it a month ago after reading reviews here. Can't believe how much dirt it picks up. It's amazing. Great suction!

I have the hoover windtunnel, but it's so bulky, suction is not really that great. I think Cannister vac would be the better way to goo
