Valentine's Day cards for classmates
My DS is in preschool and our teacher gave us a list of his classmates "just in case we wanted to exchange valentine's day cards".. so of course I'm guilted into doing it but am I supposed to make them out for the whole class or only the girls?? I'm not sure which is proper

Re: Valentine's Day cards for classmates
If I was going to do it I would do it for the whole class, but thank God my son (Gr1) chose not to do it this year. WOOhoo. My dd only has a few kids in her daycare so I am a lucky lady!

Re: Valentine's Day cards for classmates
We do the whole class for each kid, luckily they only have 13 and 14 kids in their classes.
We just sign them, Love, xoxoxo A and Love, xoxox L and don't address them to someone specific. Teacher just gives each child one. The kids made valentine mailboxes in school for all their V-day cards they will get.

Re: Valentine's Day cards for classmates
As a teacher, I find the children make them for every child. Like PP said, we ask the parents to only sign each card/or goody bag as it's not fun sorting 20 children's Valentines to 20 classmates (they're 4).

Re: Valentine's Day cards for classmates
We were allowed for Jacob to do v cards but only for the entire class and no food. so I picked up a box of scoobybdoo with pencils for the boys and princess with magnets for the girls. got them at target..
Chloe is not allowed since she goes to a temple pre school .

Re: Valentine's Day cards for classmates
My son is in K and they were each given a name of a classmate for whom they were to make a Valentine's day card. It was completely random though, I though it would have been nice if they got to make it for someone they were actually friends with.
Oh, and if he had to make 22 cards I would probably throw myself out the window!

Re: Valentine's Day cards for classmates
M has to bring in a special snack for one classmate, a boy. While I think it's a cute idea, I had a hard time finding a "I'm lukewarm towards you & wouldn't use the word love because at 7 yo, it's the kiss of death" type of snack. I finally found a generic chocolate shaped heart with nothing about on it.

Whole class.
My little one who is in pre-school gives a goody bag with a tag that says, Love Audrina. My eldest is in 1st and does the same, however write to: and from: on the goody bags.

Re: Valentine's Day cards for classmates
DS is 7 and bringing one for everyone. We're not allowed to bring candy, so DW made a bag of a VD themed pencil, a sticker, a grow-beast (the kids did a grow-beast project earlier in the year), and a generic card..... how exciting... DW doesn't like the package, either, but our hands are really tied as far as what we can bring....

Re: Valentine's Day cards for classmates
Thx everyone! I just ran to CVS and bought very cute Lego race car valentines for his close friends and Penguins of madagascar w/pencil for the rest of the class.. We did write them out to each kid but in the end, it was adorable to receive a heart shaped bag with 16 valentine's day cards made out to my little guy!! He loved it so much!
