Van Halen tickets
Anyone know when these tickets go on sale? And how to buy them?
I'm a novice at buying concert tickets but want to buy them for DH's b-day.
Thanks!

Re: Van Halen tickets
Newsday had an article in today's paper on how to buy them.
I don't think it was through ticketmaster.
Let me see if I can find it.

Re: Van Halen tickets
yeah did anyone also hear that although Van Halen and Roth are together... that Michael Anthony is gone and instead Wolfie is on Bass?
How can they say this is a "reunion tour"?

Re: Van Halen tickets
They aren't calling it a reunion tour. Roth is calling it a new band. At the press conference, he very graciously spoke about all phases of the band's success and did not bad mouth Sammy Hagar. It leads me to believe, that they will be playing all hits and not just the hits that Roth was involved with.
I am one of the few who preferred Sammy Hagar in the band. I thought his voice was better and he did not come with the attitude that David Lee Roth came with. I will however make an attempt to get tickets.

Re: Van Halen tickets
There is no doubt that David Lee Roth is an excellent "performer," but if you ask me, Sammy Hagar had a better instrument in his voice and the band should be very proud of their accomplishments with him as their lead singer. I absolutely loved "Right Now" and "Poundcake". Sammy Hagar made the band a lot of money. Personally, David Lee Roth's attitude is a total turn off. Not my style.

I'm a Hagar fan as well. Not only do I prefer his voice, but I thought his lyrics were superior to Roth's.
I so wish they were touring with Hagar.

I heard that on the official VanHalen website they photoshopped Michael Anthony off of all of the covers of the albums - and superimposed the kid.
Now THAT's just WRONG.

They aren't calling it a reunion, though. They actually said it wasn't a reunion and they're going to work on a possibe new album after the tour.
Michael Anthony is going to tour with Sammy Hagar with his new band.

Michael Anthony announced it last wee or something off of his own web site - I have no idea when the tour starts.
