Re: VBAC or Another C-section
I picked another C/S after talking w/my Dr. I totally wanted a vbac until that conversation. The way he put it was this... The chances of something going wrong are very small, HOWEVER, when they do they can be catastrophic to you and the baby. If you have Uterine Rupture the baby is in you with no lifeline and can die and you can bleed to death in a matter of minutes. So he asked, Is that a chance you want to take? I said NO. I know everyone has a different opinion, but I trust my Dr and this is just my opinion.

My Dr said the same, it didn't take me long to make up my mind!

I 100% agree with this.
My friend is a labor & delivery nurse and she opted for a 2nd c-section b/c although not very common she has unfortunately witness uterine ruptures during a V-BAC and those circumstances made up her mind.
If I were in that position there is no way I'd try for a vbac....I would not take the chance as little as it is!

Re: VBAC or Another C-section
I am unsure which one I am going with. I had to have a c-section with DD because of problems she was having, not me. I actually had a quick labor up until the pushing. My doctor has no problem at all doing a VBAC and while there are risks to it there are also risks for a c-section. So I'm not sure what I'm doing yet. I figured I would talk to my doctor again in March and see what she says. My concern with doing the c-section is 1) The risk and 2) it's a longer recovery and with already having a 3 year old I'm really not looking forward to that pain of recovery again.

Re: VBAC or Another C-section
Another C. My uterus bled more than usual. It would be way too risky for me to go VBAC. I also would have to use another Dr. Mine will not do a VBAC on me.

Re: VBAC or Another C-section
VBACs are on the decline, but I'm not sayng that has to be a reason for someone not to do one. I would not have a choice b/c the reason for my first C-section is not a reason that would change in a subsequent pregnancy.

Re: VBAC or Another C-section
VBAC all the way (I had one with my DD). There was no way I was opting for unnecessary surgery if I didn't need it.
