did i hear right?
the mayor of Las Vegas is wanting to open the city and have it be the "control group?"
i heard this in passing, this morning, and haven't even had my first cup of coffee so i might have missed something.

these politicians are bonkers.
yes, we need to get our lives/cities/economies moving, but there's a right time for everything. i don't think using your people as guinea pigs is the right thing to do.

She came across as a complete idiot. Let's just open the casinos with no rules in place - let them figure it out for themselves. How about the government give some guidance? Act with some degree of concern maybe?

It's disgusting that people's lives are referred to as a control group, but honestly, if people are stupid enough to go, then so be it.
Vegas plus Georgia opening has been a test of my morals. I don't really WISH people to die, but I'm certainly not going to grieve any of those idiots. My main concern is how they'll go back to their homes and spread it to others and cause more burden on the hospitals.
But I'm also super curious to see the results of their behavior - how quickly it spreads, etc. At least these 2 cases might make the protesters quiet for a while longer.
