Vegas Baby!
We are going on our first REAL vacation in 7 years! If you've been there, any recommendations as to what to do, or HAVE to see? I know I will probably instantaneously combust because we're going the end of July, but it would be nice to know that I had the potential to have fun TIA!

Re: Vegas Baby!
Stay at the Wynn!! We went in February and loved it.
I recommed the Cirque De Soleil "O" show at Bellagio and La Reve at the Wynn
Eat at Olives (restaurant in the Bellagio). You can see the fountains.

Re: Vegas Baby!
We stayed in August at the Venetian -- it was hot -- but it's dry heat and bearable. Not to mention every single casino & hotel is insanely air conditioned.
Have a great time! Enjoy the strip--it's so much fun to people watch and have some drinks, and check out all the free things like the Bellagio fountains, the pirate show at Treasure Island, the Volcano at the Mirage, etc.

Re: Vegas Baby!
Just got back from there - the Wynn is gorgeous! Just walk around the hotels - they are cool to see. Lounge by the pool, tons of great restaurants! And see shows - Cirque de Soleil.

Definitely bring some walking shoes! Everything looks close, but it's actuallly a hike!
Check out City Center! It's beautiful!

Re: Vegas Baby!
Carnival Court bar at Harrah's is awesome and tons of fun! Definitely check it out. It has flair bartenders that tend to hand out free shots, good bands and gambling. Super fun place!

Re: Vegas Baby!
Shopping at the Forum Shops at Caesar's. Going inside the Wynn (we ate at Switch, which was good, but I've heard the others are good, too, and each is beautifully decorated). And yes, the distance between hotels is remarkably difficult to discern until you're actually on the strip, so bring good shoes. Fun NYC-like going out clothes for evening, because the restaurants and clubs are fun for dressing up. The free Treasure Island show, Sirens of TI, is short and fun.
