Venetian Shores Sprinkler Park

Thinking of taking Jack tomorrow, but I have no idea about it.

Where is it?
Do I need to be a member of something of just pay when I get there?
Is there a place for us to get food for him?

I don't know how to get there, my friend drove. Its off on Montauk Highway. If you are not a Babylon resident it's $15 to park. There is a snack bar.

Re: Venetian Shores Sprinkler Park

Ive never been there but have read from posts on here that some park on the street and walk in so they dont have to pay the parking fee if your not a resident.

if youre taveling west on montauk highway from anywhere east of 109 youll make a left onto venetian blvd, (its across from a Hess gas station) If youre traveling east from anywhere west of wellwood, youll make a right..
(its between wellwood and 109 off montauk)

take venetian to the end, and you can park outside if you dont want to pay..there is a snack bar with lunches, smacks drinks ice cream etc.

I have gone twice now and honestly, I don't know how you would park outside having young kids...too much junk to carry and little ones can't walk too far. I paid $15 and it was well worth it for the 3 hours we spent there, jmo.
We packed a lunch, but the snack bar/lunch place seemed nice.

i def dont see a need to park in the lot unless you have more then 2 kids and are alone with no help..
if you bring a stroller, you can get everything in no prob, and it isnt a far walk at all..

ive never seen the security guards there checking residency..interesting..ill have to ask my ds..he rides there with his friends almost every day..

for YOU, i would totally recommend the lot diana lol
and anyone else pregnant and taking kids in, its been hot and humid...and theres not much of a breeze there because its not ocean-ish, its more bay-ish.

agreed and especially tommorow ...it's suppossed to be 91-92 degrees out and humid....Stay cool.

It's a lot of fun, we LIVED there last year and Noah LOVED it....Not enough energy this year to even attempt it...but Jack would enjoy it..

Do you need to bring your own chairs or do they have them there?

in the Sprinkler park area they have plenty of chairs but they get taken up QUICKLY....Last year there was always a line at the gate when they opened and really that was the only time to get a chair....but I heard from a few people it is not as crowded this year and if you get there within an hr of opening you can usually get a chair.

Re: Venetian Shores Sprinkler Park

You can no longer park on the street outside. No parking from 9am to 5pm and the signs are everywhere outside the park. You cannot walk in either, unless you are a Babylon Town resident. I think it's worth the 15.00 (25.00 on weekends though). Lots to do there.

Re: Venetian Shores Sprinkler Park

We went last week and where there by 10 and there was security so people can't just walk in. Plus signs on the street saying you can't park there.

It was so worth the $15, Luke had a blast and I can't wait to go again! I would recommend bringing a chair, we got lucky because someone left.

Have fun!
