VENT!!!

DH and I went to Disney for a few days and left Yogi (our 5 month old puppy) with my IL's. We get a few calls over the week telling us that he is peeing all over their house. We told them NOT to give him water all day, everyday. Only when he eats, he plays, takes a walk, or is looking for water (as per the vet. Yogi has submissive peeing and will go whenever he gets excited or plays....he will grow out of it). IL's didnt want to listen and they gave him water all day for 5 days straight!!! Then we go to pick him up last night and my MIL tells DH and I that Yogi has "a malfunctioning kidney" and his pee is bright yellow (which it wasn't....I took a look at it). GEEZ!!! I didn't know it was possible to get a vet degree in 5 days!!!! I just don't understand why she keeps making comments about how we are doing everything wrong with the dog. I wonder what she'll be like when we have a baby!!

RUN. No really. my ILs are the same way. They treat their dogs horribly compared to DH & I (who are admittedly fanatics when it comes to our dogs), and they NEVER listen to our instruction when it comes to our dogs. We left them with ILs for 4 hours one day when we had to do work in the nursery...I told them "DO NOT FEED THEM PEOPLE FOOD & NEVER FROM THE TABLE" well lo & behold they fed them garlic meatballs in tomato sauce & they all got sick (garlic can be dangerous for dogs if given in the wrong form/quantity). So the whole night I am up with the dogs as they are puking all over my house.

Nice right.

Now that I am PG it is even worse & IL cannot understand why I would choose daycare over "free-IL care"
