Vent about a landscaper who came without asking us - wait to see what happened! UPDATE
Last year we hired a landscaper. I was PG then with the baby I could not take care of the lawn. We were very happy with him.
He asked us last year to give him a call for this year. We never called. That means we dont' have a contract, right?
Well, they showed up on Friday and mowed the lawn. He left a phone call for DH. DH tried to call him and they played phone tag. Now, I was working this weekend and did not do a FULL inspection.
Well, I did today. I had some weeds in one of my flower bed and was going to get to it. They took care of the weeds... that's for sure. They cut the hostas coming out and what they thought were weeds were actually my perannuals coming back. I was furious. 3 hostas and 4 perannuals.
DH called him and told him they waked my peranuals for their overzealeous move on the weeds.
so
1/ I never asked them to come and I am sure they want to charge me
2/ They destroyed several of my plants.
UPDATE: DH was able to talk to him. He told us to make a list of the plants and he will replace them. I still don't need him to come do our lawn though.

 Omg, I would be LIVID! I would definitely not pay them and cancel them immediately.

Wow, I'd be really angry too! Our landscaper sends out a contract each winter with the weekly rate and what each special treatment rate will be, fall cleanup rate, all that stuff. If we don't sign it he won't come.

 i wouldnt pay......BTW my father in law has a landscaper that has just been coming for two years straight without asking us, havent seen a bill yet

UG! That's so frustrating! I mean for me, I wouldn't even remember what I planted, either I'm glad they're going to replace them!
