VENT! i know this sounds silly/selfish...

...but i am starting to get annoyed that i haven't planned a trip for spring break. my office is usually closed for a few days, so ideally i try to plan vacations around this time of year since i dont need to take many vacation days to have a wortwhile vacation.

this year, things are just really busy at work. so even though the office is closed, i will be working from home just to keep my head above water

but i have to admit, its super frustrating knowing i should be working when all i really want to do is go on vacation or go somewhere fun....

and it doesnt help that almost everyone else in my department is taking time off!

It's not silly at all. I would feel the same way. Last year my DH tore his bicep and needed surgery and we had to postpone our annual trip. Of course I felt terrible for DH, but that didn't mean I wasn't disappointed.
